Christmas Cards

Christmas arrives in the year much faster than it did when I was expecting Santa. Not surprising is that the things I value at Christmas time have also changed as I have grown older. I look forward to this time of year, because a special effort is made to visit or get in contact with those you care about and have not seen/talked to in a while. I love that every year my address list for cards grows and that on that list many of the last names change or new names are added to a family. I spend a good amount of time reviewing the list to make sure I have the right spelling of every new married couple and every new baby.

I love receiving every one's Holiday cards. Todd can tell you that Christmas and my Birthday are the only times in the year when I will check the mail. I truly have a very hard time in January throwing away all the cards we have received. Some I actually do save and cut the picture from holiday motif and hang them on our refrigerator until next year. This year I can't wait to get the new family photo's, a favorite wedding photo, a tropical vacation shot or even a great update letter that fills us in on what your family has done in the past year.

This year with our move we just ran out of time to take a family photo. So after we tried the antlers on Torrey, we knew she would be representing the Johnson's this year. With a few dog treats and many snaps of the camera we got a few keepers.
