Happy Birthday Torrey Dog

We adopted Torrey from the Vista Humane Society last year on June 21, 2007. Torrey was 31 pounds and we were told she was a red and white Shepard mix and about 2 years old. We did not have an exact date when Torrey was born, but decided that her adoption date would also be her Birthday. I took Torrey to the vet the other day for her yearly physical and she is doing well. She weighs 41 pounds (oops, she gained weight while I was pregnant..all the late night snacks) and is in great health. The Vet thought Torrey is a mix between a pit bull and a beagle? Nahhh, I don't see it. We thought she might be part Rhodesian Ridgback and something small. I guess that is pretty vague, but you might agree if you saw a female Ridgback. The Vet also said Torrey had great, young teeth and that she was probably only 2 years old now, not 3. Lucky Torrey, how nice to get one year younger on your Birthday!

We have had Torrey now for a year and have had our share of fun with her from hanging out, going to the dog park and dog beach as well as working with her on training basics. Torrey is a funny love able dog and is becoming very fond of Cameron. She snubbed us a little when Cameron came home and she was no longer the new baby. Here are a few pictures from our past year with Torrey.

Torrey will squeeze into any spot on the couch no matter how uncomfortable or small just to be near you.

This was her just yesterday. She still seems happy one year later.
